The H16-05 is designed as a rear pad. It is a competition-only pad designed to offer the best performance in torque, feel, fade resistance and brake release.
The pad wont show symptoms of fading until after 800+°C which is well above what most brake systems are engineered to cope with. H16-05 has a high initial bite whilst maintaining a good release feel, this will give the driver confidence to attack the braking zone with little concern for locking the wheels.
16-05 is perfectly suited for applications such as being the Porsche GT3 Rear Pad (with H16-03 at the front) because it has a similar characteristics with H16-03 but with less initial bite and friction.
